Here is a brief guide to the various stages of Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP):
Step 1 : Beginning the Process
Receive a referral from you physician if they think KAP would be a beneficial treatment for you.
Step 2: Determine Eligibility
Columbia River Counselling will reach out to you to connect and ask a few preliminary questions to determine if you are a suitable candidate for KAP, and assist you with scheduling the remainder of your appointments.
Step 3: Mental Health Screening
Meet with Jennifer Wright for a Mental Health screening ahead of your infusion date. This resembles a conversational interview to better understand the issues you are facing and how to work through them.
Step 4: Physical Health Screening
Schedule an appointment with one of our medical doctors to conduct a physical and assess how your body would tolerate the Ketamine infusion.
Step 5: Infusion Day
Receive your first dosage of Ketamine, and navigate your journey aided by Jennifer as well as a physician in the room.
Step 6: Integration Day
The day immediately following your infusion, meet with Jennifer once more to process events that arose during your infusion.
Step 7: Continuing Treatment
Based on the treatment plan that has been established, you may repeat steps 5 & 6 until you have completed the recommended amount of sessions.
Step 8: Concluding Treatment
After your last treatment, you will see Jennifer weekly for another 2 sessions to fully integrate your journey and process through what you have experienced.
